TV choreographer allegedly raped students

LOS ANGELES Da Silva was arrested Saturday afternoon and is being held on $3.8 million bail.

The 41-year-old choreographer for Fox's "/*So You Think You Can Dance*/" is accused of sexually assaulting the students in his two homes in the San Fernando Valley.

Los Angeles police investigators say the rapes happened between May 2003 and March 28, 2009.

An LAPD statement says Da Silva lured the four students to his home in North Hollywood and Van Nuys and got them into his bedroom, where he raped them.

Da Silva, a World Salsa Champion in 2002 and 2007, has taught at Edge Performing Arts Center in Hollywood and the /*Mayan Club*/ in downtown Los Angeles.

Los Angeles police detectives have released Da Silva's photograph because there may be other victims.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Van Nuys Sexual Assault Detectives at (818)-374-1926.

The LAPD says callers who wish to remain anonymous can text "CRIMES" with a cell phone or log onto www.lapdonline.org.
