Report on L.A. County health care system

LOS ANGELES The /*Los Angeles Healthcare Options Task Force*/, made up of local leaders in the health, business, and labor fields, laid out a series of proposals for "improving the quality and financial sustainability of healthcare for medically indigent individuals in the county."

Among other issues, the task force focused on health care in South Los Angeles, and specifically on the possible reopening of /*Martin Luther King Jr.-Harbor Hospital*/ in Willowbrook, which has been effectively shut down following repeated allegations of inadequate care for patients.
