Man sentenced in Griffith Park fire

LOS ANGELES Gary Lintz, 44, pleaded no contest Monday to arson for the August 16 fire.

Prosecutors had charged him with setting four fires between July and August 2008, but three of the counts were dismissed in exchange for his plea.

Lintz, who has a prior arson conviction, also admitted causing injury to a firefighter who was hurt while putting out the fire.

Lintz was arrested after hikers spotted him in an area where the fire started.
