Suspect arrested for karaoke bar murder

June 8, 2009 12:00:00 AM PDT
A shooting in a Koreatown karaoke bar has left one man dead and another wounded. Los Angeles Police Department officers arrested Louis Lee, 22, of Rowland Heights on suspicion of murder. Lee is being held on $1 million bail.

Detectives say the two victims were leaving the M2 Cafe & Karaoke bar on 6th Street Sunday night when they were shot. Michael Kim, 36, of Anaheim Hills, was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. A 37-year-old Los Angeles man, whose name is being withheld, suffered a graze wound to his head and is expected to survive.

Investigators say the victims were involved in a dispute inside the bar. The alleged gunman fled the scene, but police later tracked him down and arrested him.
