Breastfed kids show increase in GPA

June 15, 2009 12:00:00 AM PDT
Babies who are breastfed are more likely to do well in high school and go on to college than infants raised on a bottle. That's the finding of a new study by researchers at American University and the University of Colorado.

The study compared siblings who were breastfed as infants to others who were not.

The breastfed kids showed a slight increase in their high school GPA and in the probability of college attendance.
