L.A. County balances $22.7B budget

LOS ANGELES The /*L.A. County Board of Supervisors*/ passed a budget on Monday without any layoffs or furloughs for employees.

County leaders say they were able to balance the $22.7 billion budget because of conservative fiscal policies over the last decade.

However, county departments had to trim spending by an average of 7.5 percent.
