The 8 inch water main break was near Department of Water and Power Building 39 on Exposition Boulevard.
The water main break caused some localized flooding and traffic had to be shut down between Western Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard.
There have been half-a-dozen pipeline breaks in Los Angeles over a 9 day period. Officials blame it on an aging pipeline network.
