They were acting on a tip that Michaels had photographed a 17-year-old female in the nude and had sex with her during the photo shoots in the Lake Hills area.
Michaels was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of rape by force or fear, oral copulation and sexual penetration with an object. He has been released on $50,000 bail.
Authorities seized several items from his home, including computers, camera equipment and video recordings.
The investigation is still ongoing.
