Singer Mya and her partner Dmitry Chaplin earned the first two 10s of the season from judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, but head judge Led Goodman was less than dazzled.

"There was so much going on in my opinion," he said to the pair. He gave them a seven, a big disparity from the rest of the panel.

"I'm confused, honestly, I don't know what to do with the choreography for next week," said Chaplain about the lower score.

"I'll take a seven over a five any day," said Mya.

The criticism didn't stop there. The judges offered praise, then followed up with less than stellar scores which left contestants Chuck Liddell and his partner Anna Trebunskaya scratching their heads.

"The judges are very unpredictable this season, and like with us we feel that they gave us actually good comments, and they were rewarding with their words but not with their scores. What's going on?" asked Trebunskaya.

Things got so strange with the scoring that professional dancer Lacey Schwimmer and her celebrity partner Mark Dacascos thought something else entirely might be to blame.

"Is there a full moon out this week? Was it yesterday or today? There's been something weird going on today, I don't know what it is, but there's weird energy with everybody, especially with Len," said Schwimmer.

Olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin was able to break through the judge's icy exterior. Until now, she felt like a fish out of water, but her second place rumba with partner Alec Mazo had all three judges giving complimentary comments.

"Those are words I never hear. Yeah, I was so excited with what the judges said today. Len seemed like he was extra grumpy, so to have him say complimentary things, so excited," said Coughlin.
