Paisley, Underwood focused on CMAs

Hollywood Wrap with George Pennacchio
NASHVILLE, Tenn. An all-star lineup has been rehearsing all week for Wednesday night's 43rd Annual CMA Awards.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will co-host and perform. And even though each are nominated in several categories, they still get butterflies thinking about the star power that will be sitting out in front of them.

"That whole front row's pretty intimidating sitting right there," said Underwood. "Everybody in the front row is famous."

This duo hosted last year's show and had a blast. So they know what to expect and will do whatever they can to keep things fresh, whether they are on stage or doing an interview.

"You know every once in a while you'll get up there and make some joke and it'll be a gutterball," said Underwood.

Both Paisley and Underwood had a bet for $20 to see if the singer could manage to squeeze in the word "gutterball" into an interview and she succeeded.

"We had a bet she couldn't get gutterball in there and she just did," said Paisley.

The two play lots of games when they have a bunch of back-to-back interviews. It keeps them on their toes and keeps things fresh. They pick certain words or phrases and try to fit them into their interviews.
