Former USC coach speaks out about departure

LOS ANGELES

"I was mad. I was disappointed. Based on 33 years in this business, I had never been accused of giving anybody a dollar. Anybody that asked any of my players or their families if they had ever received a dollar, they'd tell you that that's absolutely not true. And to not have any more support than what I had at the end was arguably the most disappointing thing I'd ever been through," said Floyd.

Floyd also says he didn't tell anyone about his resignation sooner because he knew his staff's contracts were up for renewal and he didn't want to jeopardize those contracts.
