The vote comes before a new state law prohibits municipalities from passing such ordinances. That law goes into effect on January 1.
Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Culver City and Santa Monica have also recently adopted declawing bans.
Burbank becomes 7th city to ban cat declawing
BURBANK, Calif. The city council voted 4 to 1 in favor of the ban on Tuesday night, making it the seventh city in California to ban declawing.
