Shooting Near Roosevelt High School in Southeast Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. Officers couldn't find the shooting victim at first, then discovered he was taken to Community Regional Medical Center by a friend. But that friend drove off, and police want to question that person.

"We are still trying to locate the friend because at this time that appears to be the only witness to the incident," said Lt. Jon Papaleo with the Fresno Police Dept.

Tulare Street was shut down during the morning commute for about 2 hours, during the investigation.

The shooting victim is a man in his 20's. Police say his gunshot wound is not life-threatening.
