Unruly man Tasered in San Bernardino County

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. The incident began Monday morning shortly before 10:30 a.m. Police responded to a call on Sioux Road near Quinnault Road, where a father and son were fighting.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department says the father was trying to detain his son, who claimed to have a gun. The son, identified by authorities as 31-year old Richard Black, was combative with his father as well as the responding deputy, according to investigators.

After refusing to comply with repeated commands to stop resisting, the deputy used a Taser on Black but it did not work and Black continued to be combative.

Additional deputies arrived and Black was eventually handcuffed.

Two deputies received minor injuries.

A pellet gun was recovered from the scene.

Black was booked into West Valley Detention Center for assault on a peace officer.
