Search is on for Riverside kidnap rape suspect

Authorities in the Riverside County area are asking the public for help tracking down a kidnap-forcible rape suspect.Coachella Police Department investigators say on Sunday afternoon they got a call about a kidnapping and sexual assault on the 50000 block of Harrison Street, Coachella.

Investigators say the suspect pulled a gun on an adult female.

The suspect made the victim get into his vehicle and drove her to a remote agricultural field near the town of Thermal.

Investigators say the suspect sexually assaulted the victim, left her in the field and fled in his car.

The victim walked to a nearby residence to seek help.

The suspect is described as a male hispanic, 25 years old, 5' 06", 140 pounds, with dark slicked-back hair, a small mustache, a goatee, and a small scar over his right eye brow.

The suspect is also described as having tattoos on his hands and shoulders. He was driving a green, manual transmission, 2005 or 2006 VW sedan, with light tinted windows.
