Fullerton museum to display psychedelic art show

FULLERTON, Calif. Psychedelic art grew out of the 1960s counterculture movement.

It's characterized by bright colors and kaleidoscopic patterns.

Beginning on April 17, the /*Fullerton Museum Center*/ will present "/*Technicolor Dreaming: Psychedelic Posters from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum*/."

The exhibit is organized by the /*Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum*/ in Cleveland, and will feature more than 30 posters influenced by the experimental music and lifestyles of the 1960s and '70s.

Offered alongside "Technicolor Dreaming" will be a second exhibit called "/*DreamGlow: Paintings by Adam Slater*/."

DreamGlow will spotlight black-light paintings, an art form that also has deep roots in the 1960s.

Both exhibits will run through July 10.
