Woman in early 20s shot to death in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Calif. Authorities responded to the shooting at the Willow Creek Village condos in the 44000 block of 15th Street East, near Avenue J8, at about 8 p.m. When they arrived, they found a female victim in her early 20s with gunshot wound.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where she later died. Her name has not been released.

A motive for the shooting has not been determined. It's unclear if the incident was a domestic dispute or an intruder.

The complex where the shooting occurred is gated, and there is also a security guard.
