Rescuers free woman from under Metro train

LONG BEACH, Calif. Authorities said a woman in her 40s somehow got stuck under the front of the train at the Blue Line platform near 1st Street and Long Beach Boulevard just after 8:30 a.m. It's unclear if she fell off the platform.

It took fire crews about 10 minutes to free her. She was taken to the hospital with serious head injuries.

There were no reported delays on the Blue Line from the incident.
