Three suspects arrested for Helendale murder

Three suspects have been arrested in a Helendale, San Bernardino County murder investigation. On Wednesday March 3, investigators arrested Edgar Gutierrez, 39, and two 17-year-old male teenagers. The trio was wanted for the alleged murder of Jesus Rocha. Gutierrez was booked on conspiracy and murder charges. The two teenagers were taken to San Bernardino juvenile hall and booked for alleged kidnapping and murder.

The case began on December 16, 2009. San Bernardino County sheriff deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to the 16600 block of Wheeler Road for a reported missing person. The family of 69-year-old Jesus Rocha told deputies they had not seen Rocha for several days.

On December 19, some human remains were located on the Wheeler Road property. No details on the manner of death, or a motive. However, detectives say it was homicide.
