The L.A. County District Attorney's office is reportedly looking at the case to see if there's enough evidence to press charges.
Meanwhile, Guidi has been put on administrative leave. He could face charges of grand theft and commercial burglary.
Hawthorne mayor implicated in theft case
HAWTHORNE, Calif. Guidi is suspected of stealing a high quality electric industrial food mixer from the Hawthorne School District. Guidi serves as the facilities and warehouse manager for the district.
