The magnitude-3.9 quake hit at 8:19 p.m. nine miles east-southeast of Port Hueneme, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Viewers from Ventura County, Malibu, South L.A., and Calabasas called into the Eyewitness Newsroom and reported feeling the quake.
There were no immediate reports of any damage or injuries.
