Paralyzed Pekingese gets new set of wheels

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. Maxtor was hit by a car last week. A Good Samaritan found him lying on the street and called authorities.

Doctors say Maxtor is partially paralyzed and has no pain or motor sensation in either of his back legs.

He was taken to a local shelter where a worker fashioned a pair of old wheels into a device for Maxtor to roll around with.

His veterinarian said he's healthy and will be ready to go up for adoption on Tuesday.
