Teen killer inspired by 'Dexter' TV character

INDIANA

Question of the Day: Can TV, movies and videogames be blamed for violence?

17-year-old Andrew Conley pleaded guilty Monday and his sentencing hearing is ongoing.

He has confessed to killing his 10-year-old brother back in November. Investigators say he told them he identified with the lead character in the Showtime series "Dexter" about a police investigator who moonlights as a serial killer. (In case you were wondering, yes, there are toy dolls of Dexter available at ToysRus.)

Prosecutors are seeking a sentence of life without parole.
