8-inch water main bursts on Hollywood street

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. Water was seen gushing onto the 1100 block of North Citrus Avenue near Santa Monica Boulevard, and there was some damage to the street.

DWP crews plan to repair the water main later Friday morning. Officials said one lane on North Citrus Avenue will be shut down.

According to authorities, the water main break is related to Monday's break on the same street, which left 20 customers without service.
