5 hurt, 2 arrested in Hollywood shootings

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. Los Angeles police said the first shooting took place around 1:25 a.m. at Hollywood and Cahuenga boulevards. One victim was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

While police were investigating that shooting, another shooting erupted 90 minutes later near that same intersection. For men were shot and hospitalized.

Police said two people have been arrested in connection with the shootings. Authorities could not confirm if the shootings were related.
