Thousands wait to meet Bush at book signing

DALLAS

About 2,000 people gathered in Dallas to get their copy of "Decision Points" signed, and Bush was happy to shake hands and chat while he signed his books.

The memoir covers key events during his presidency, from the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks to Hurricane Katrina.

While, he may not have been very popular when he left office, there was no doubt about his popularity in his home state on Tuesday. Some people slept on sidewalks, while others skipped school just to meet him.
