Coleman is 50 years old and a graduate from Northwestern High School. For the last week, friends and family have been searching for him, and they it's not like Coleman to disappear without a word.
Charles and Roy Coleman are standing outside of Dennis Coleman's home, worried that their brother could be in trouble.
"About Wednesday, my sister, who sees him every day, called and told me she hadn't heard from him," Charles said.
The family says Coleman disappeared on Monday, November 8. He was last seen wearing a dark grey sweat shirt, white Nike tennis shoes and jeans.
By Thursday, Coleman's brother Roy filed a missing persons report. "It's not like Dennis to be missing no more than a day or so, let alone a whole week."
"We started combing the park, distributing fliers and just trying to what we can on our own," Charles added.
Dennis Coleman's roommate says he last saw him leaving the house and getting into a black Cadillac Escalade, and hasn't been heard from since.
Neighbors in the area say they've seen him working in a vacant home. Someone working on the home today says Coleman has worked on the house a couple of times, but the man said he hasn't seen him in a while.
Coleman's family has spoken with the owner of the Escalade. He claims he simply gave Dennis a ride to a nearby store.
For now, friends and family are left wondering where Dennis Coleman is and if he's all right.
"We normally hear from him on a regular basis. And for him not to even be back home is definitely out of character for him," Charles said.
"I've been sending up prayers that he surfaces," said Roy.
Coleman stands about 5 feet 9 inches. If you have any information about his disappearance, you're asked to contact the Flint Police Department at 810-237-6800.
