HEMET, Calif.

The improvements include surrounding the building with wrought iron fencing and the installation of floodlights, surveillance cameras and windows with bullet-resistant coating.

The more than $200,000 worth of improvements come after the department was the target of a least nine attacks.

Two men have been arrested for four of those attacks.
