The suspect took off, and the chase eventually ended on the 17000 block of Nordhoff Street, when the suspect's vehicle slammed into two other cars.
According to police, the suspect was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Authorities said a husband and wife in a Mercedes suffered serious back and neck injuries and five others received minor injuries.
