If you want a package delivered by Christmas, the FedEx deadline for ground and home delivery service is Friday.
When a resident is not home at the time of delivery, even if the package does not require a signature, some deliverymen will not leave it.
"We'll come back two or three times in a day if we have to, but we want to make sure you secure that package," said Marcus Rabb, a FedEx driver.
UPS said it expected to deliver about 430 million packages around the world between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The busiest day of the year for UPS is Dec. 22.
