Search resumes for body in burned Calif. home

Authorities responded to a house fire in the San Diego County suburb of Santee after a man called 911 and threatened to kill his wife and himself and torch his house on Saturday, Jan.1, 2010.

The search resumed Sunday for a second body that may be inside a burned San Diego County home.The fire broke out Saturday night at a house in Santee.

According to authorities, a man called 911 saying he was going to kill his wife and himself and burn his house down.

Firefighters had to wait almost 30 minutes before they could tackle the fire, fearing an armed man may be inside the home.

Deputies found one body in the rubble, but did not immediately identify the remains.

The San Diego Union Tribune reports county records show the home was owned by 60-year-old Michael Cour and 70-year-old Janice Gervais since 1999, and that World Savings Bank foreclosed on the property Dec. 6. The couple filed for voluntary bankruptcy last summer.
