January 7, 2011 12:54:31 AM PST
A recall is in effect for frozen tamales made and sold in California because they may contain a dairy allergen which is not listed on the label. The recall affects more than 144,000 pounds of frozen tamales containing beef, chicken or turkey. They were sold under the names Garibaldi, Golden West and Casper Homestead Pasta Company.

The individual packages are marked with the establishment number "P-4994" or "EST. 4994" and were produced between April of last year and now.

The problem was discovered during a label review. No reports of adverse reactions from the consumption of the products has been reported, according to the USDA.
