A heart attack doesn't seem to scare most fast food fans away from fast food restaurants, according to a new study.

A researcher at the University of Missouri found that more than half the frequent fast food eaters he surveyed still visited fast food restaurants at least once a week six months after having a heart attack.

The survey did not ask what menu items people ordered.

The study was published in the American Journal of Cardiology.
