The L.A. County High School for the Arts broke ground on a new facility Wednesday.

Since the school was created in 1985, it has been housed on the California State University, Los Angeles campus.

With the groundbreaking, the school will finally get its own building.

The new three-story, $25 million structure will include 21 classrooms, a theater, and an outdoor assembly area.
