Wasley Garrett, 23, got stuck in the tracks in Atlanta while trying to jump from one platform to the other.
Witnesses started to scream when he appeared to be shocked while lying between the rails.
One man on the platform pulled Garrett by the arm and to safety. Passengers began to cheer. The video was posted on YouTube.
Garrett was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
He faces several charges.
