'Marijuana grannies' arrested for illegal pot growing

Two Northern California women coined 'marijuana grannies' are arrested after police found 800 marijuana plants in their home.

Two Northern California women, described by prosecutors as "marijuana grannies," have been jailed after police found hundreds of marijuana plants in their San Bruno home.

Aleen Lam, 72, and 65-year-old Virginia Chan Pon are being held on $100,000 bail each. The two were arrested after neighbors reported a burglary.

Police saw marijuana plants through the front door which was kicked in by a burglar. Police got a warrant and found 800 marijuana plants growing inside the house.
