The remains were found at Valley and G streets, not far from the 215 Freeway.
Police say a man cutting weeds in a vacant lot spotted the body buried in dirt under some trees and then called police.
Investigators say the remains appear to be those of a Hispanic male and believe the body had been there for at least two months. The coroner will determine cause of death.
