Calabasas High student arrested for knife on campus

CALABASAS, Calif.

According to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department, an assistant principal at the school searched a male student's backpack on campus at about 3 p.m.

The student allegedly resisted the search. The assistant principal and the student reportedly struggled and a folding knife fell out of the backpack.

The student was arrested for possession of a weapon on a school campus.

No injuries were reported.
