Glendale considers pet sale ban in stores

GLENDALE, Calif.

The Glendale City Council is looking at adopting a motion that is similar to initiatives in West Hollywood and Hermosa Beach.

In recent years, animal rights activists have been leading the drive to push for adoption of pets and away from retail sales of dogs and cats.

They also want to draw attention to puppy mills and kitten factories that breed the animals and sell them to pet stores.
