Photos show 'Safari Bandit' at SoCal banks

REDONDO BEACH, Calif.

The suspect is wanted for a holdup on July 1 at a U.S. Bank branch in Redondo Beach. He's also wanted in a robbery a week later at the Montecito Bank & Trust in Santa Barbara.

He got the name "Safari Bandit" because of the clothes he was wearing.

Tellers told the FBI that the man's moustache and sideburns are fake.

During the robberies, the suspect passes a type-written note demanding cash from tellers.

Anyone with information was asked to call the FBI at (310) 629-9553.
