Moreno valley transient man arrested for 2 juvenile sex assaults

James Watkins was arrested Saturday for allegedly sexually assaulting two underage females in Moreno Valley.

James Russell Watkins, 29, was arrested Saturday for unlawful sexual intercourse, child abuse and parole violation. Watkins allegedly sexually assaulted two underage females in Moreno Valley.

Moreno Valley Police officers responded to an anonymous report of a possible double sexual assault near the area of Alessandro Boulevard and the Old 215 Freeway at 11 p.m. Saturday.

Officers arrived and located Watkins, according to the department. Watkins, a transient, claimed to live in a tent near the location.

Watkins is a registered sex offender and is currently on parole.

After conducting interviews at the scene, police arrested Watkins on suspicion of sexually assaulting to juvenile females.

Watkins was booked at the Robert Pressley Detention Center.
