Police officers responded to reports of shots fired along the 12200 block of Lampson Avenue at shortly before 5 p.m.
Authorities arrived on scene to find two men suffering from gunshot wounds. They were both transported to UC Irvine Medical Center, where one of the victims died. The second victim was treated for his injuries and was expected to be OK.
