Leonard Nimoy from 'Star Trek' hangs up Spock ears

Actor Leonard Nimoy says he's hanging up his Spock ears and has attended his final Star Trek convention.

During a convention last weekend near Chicago celebrating the 45th anniversary of "Star Trek," he thanked fans for their support over the years.

He then held up his hand with four fingers in a V for Vulcan sign, saying Spock's most famous phrase: "Live long and prosper."

The 80-year-old actor is best-known for playing Mr. Spock in the original TV series that began in September 1966.
