Authorities responded to the accident at 3:22 a.m. at Railroad Canyon Road. The driver was not injured.
The victim had just purchased a Wii and had run across the freeway, using it as a shortcut to get to the other side, Caltrans said.
All traffic lanes were closed until further notice. Motorists were diverted to Bundy Canyon Road.
The victim's name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The crash remains under investigation.
