Thousand Oaks bridge made entirely of recycled plastic

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.

The reason: it is made entirely of recycled plastic.

The bridge used to be a bunch of milk cartons and detergent containers.

The United States Army is already using the technology. It built three recycled plastic bridges at Fort Bragg that can hold 70 ton tanks.

The bridges contain no toxic chemicals, they don't leach or warp, and if they are ever removed they can be recycled all over again.
