A 62-year-old woman was reportedly walking eastbound across Heacock Street at Kernwood Drive when a mid-90s dark-colored 2-door Honda sedan with a black hood struck her at about 6:15 p.m.
The woman was hospitalized with broken bones and severe head trauma.
The suspect vehicle was traveling northbound on Heacock St. The driver fled the scene. Witnesses described the driver as a Hispanic man.
