LA residents warned of burglars entering through doggie doors

LOS ANGELES

Authorities said there have been at least seven to eight of these kinds of burglaries in the West Valley area recently. The suspects enter through the doggie door and spray the pets with some type of pepper spray.

Police said they have also seen more cases where the suspects break into the house from the second floor using a ladder.

Officials recommend that residents secure dog doors and put an alarm on the second story of their homes.
