Closing arguments are set to begin Tuesday in the Jamiel Shaw murder case. Both sides rested late Monday morning after some drama in the courtroom.

Pedro Espinoza is accused of killing the high school football star in 2008.

Monday, three officers, including a probation officer, were scheduled to testify for the defense. But they failed to show up, infuriating the judge. The defense rested anyway.

Prosecutors claim Espinoza was a gang member out to kill a black member of a rival gang. He could face the death penalty if convicted.
