A Good Samaritan is credited with trying to save the life of a Norco school bus driver who had a medical emergency behind the wheel.

No kids were in the bus when the 58-year-old driver, who was apparently diabetic, passed out and struck a guardrail on Archibald Street near River Road on Friday.

James Burchett was driving past the bus when he saw what was happening. He pulled his vehicle in front of the bus to help stop it and then performed CPR on the bus driver.

Unfortunately, the woman did not survive.
