Authorities said the Bedouins snatched the two men early Thursday morning as they were traveling by car form Dahab to Nuweiba, resort towns on the Red Sea's Gulf of Aqaba. Officials said the two were freed after hours of negotiations between the Bedouins and local police and government.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to release the information.
Egypt's Sinai Peninsula has seen a series of kidnappings as Bedouins try to pressure authorities to release detained relatives or improve basic services, but the kidnap victims are usually released unharmed.
